Nepal Japan Cooperation for
Student Exchange Program
National College, Center for
Development Studies (CeDS)
has developed a new policy
of promoting a student
exchange program with
universities having similar
academic programs in Asian
and western countries. In
the last academic year of
2006/7, five students
and one faculty
member had visited Mushashi
Institute of Technology,
Yokohama, Japan for
comprehensive study of
development related
projects. Similarly, In the
year - 2009, six students are
leaving for Japan for the
same purpose. This exchange
program has been
materialized
through collaborative
efforts
with Mushashi Institute. In the past, two batches of students from Mushashi Institute and twelve students of National College jointly participated in the study of urban waste management system in Kathmandu. The partnership
program mainly focused on
enhancing the knowledge on
environmental education and
promotional activities
through student exchange
program.
